We are very excited to show the work of award-winning photographer Dunja Opalko at Once. Dunja is a London-based photographer best known for her portraits which have won her critical acclaim. We are showing Dunja’s collection ‘On Reconnections’ which is a series of recent photographs taken by Dunja when visiting her family in the Alps. The images evoke feelings of reconnecting with nature, with ourselves, with our childhoods. When life is busy, there is often a need to reconnect and find some calm - Dunja’s photographs perfectly capture this and the beauty of the Alpine landscape.

Born in Hamburg and based in London for 14 years, Dunja’s photographic practice spans portrait , interior and band narrative photography, emphasising mood and authenticity. Her work has been featured in publications and clients such as Monocle, Hauser and Wirth, LSA, Conde Nast Traveller, and Telegraph Luxury, she has won the Portrait of Britain award by the British Journal of Photography with an image of her personal project Creative Mothers earlier this year.
