The Midsummer collection is a series of hand crafted textile artworks by Lora Avedian, made for Once. The series features original designs and embroidery of Midsummer flora, which is abundant and vivid at this time of year. Lora uses fabrics from her own personal archive - linens, silks, ribbon, to bring the flowers to life using hand embroidery and embellishment.
Lora Avedian’s work sits at the intersection of textile design and art, encompassing everything from large-scale installations at venues like Barbican Centre and the Chelsea Flower Show to exquisite, embroidered linens and soft furnishings that are sought after by the world’s best interior designers. Lora’s work is made bespoke or in small batches. She combines hand guided machine embroidery with traditional hand embellishment techniques. Each piece is one of a kind, crafted by Lora in her London studio with doubles as an archive of beautiful linens and fabrics.
Dimensions: 25cm square and 3.5cm deep. Hand stitched to a plain light wooden frame.
