Handmade in fallow Oak wood by architect/carpenter Paul Beaty, many have fallen in love with this stool and its bowed legs which make it seem almost human. It’s simple and strong design ensures a stable place to sit (we have tested meticulously) whilst the natural oak wood is a thing of wonder, with a simple varnish it’s a perfectly natural object of beauty.

Working from his workshop and studio in Hammersmith, West London, Paul Beaty designs and makes his own furniture and ceramics. He designs his furniture using his experience as an architect, and is currently working on a series of stools, benches and tables using oak sourced from storm felled trees in Sussex. Paul also takes commissions to help clients achieve their own design ideas.
