Hand Decorated Mug
These mugs are difficult to let go of because your hand will fit so perfectly around its curved, balanced shape. A good weight and with a sturdy handle, they have been tested out by obsessive tea drinkers.
Made in a dark stoneware clay and gas fired with either a speckled light grey glaze, or a light celadon glaze, both with hand applied oxide decoration.
These mugs all have a variety of a slightly different hues due to the gas firing process, making them an intriguing choice.

Jynsym Ong is a London-born studio potter currently based in Oxford. She studied ceramics at Clay College in Stoke on Trent and in 2019 was selected as a Daiwa Scholar, which enabled her to undertake an apprenticeship at Mitoh Kama in Karatsu, Japan. She was a recipient of TOAST's New Makers programme in 2023.
